Project Manager & Computational Design Lead

 

Yasaman Lalonde brings an entrepreneurial mindset to architecture. As Project Manager and Computational Design Lead, she leads the studio’s design and BIM team and owns the project lifecycle, from early design concepts through digital coordination and studio resourcing. She is pursuing her OAA licence and PMP certification.

 

She believes architecture must do more than function; it must tell a spatial story. That conviction shapes an approach that balances form, function and emotional resonance, with human connection at its centre.

 

Before joining LIMINAL, Yasaman worked at Hariri Pontarini Architects, one of Canada’s most respected practices, after completing her Master of Architecture at McGill University (2022). She works fluently across parametric design, digital fabrication and sustainable practice, on projects ranging from intimate residences and boutique retail to large housing and commercial developments.

 

At LIMINAL, that computational skill drives the studio’s most demanding work. On the Muskoka boathouse she coordinated the digital integration of the structural and mechanical systems, managing tight construction tolerances to reduce risk in the field. For the Phoenix art car she developed custom algorithms to fabricate complex, multi-curved metal geometry. At Aevum she led early spatial and material studies and coordinated the digital fabrication of the bespoke PETG screens. In each case she closes the gap between the digital model and what gets built.

 

Born in Tehran to a family of civil engineers and builders, Yasaman grew up fluent in how things are built. She has studied piano and painting since childhood, which gave her a deep sense of rhythm and proportion. She brings both to every project: computational precision and an artist’s eye.
